Alleged California shooter's Last Words Reminiscent of a Cross Between Smaug and The Dragon of The Bible
Revenge? Revenge? I will show you revenge! [takes flight towards Lake Town] I am fire... I am death! I kill where I wish and none dare resist. Smaug
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isaiah 14: 13-14
...I would reduce everyone of you to mountains of skulls and rivers of blood...and rightfully so, said alleged California shooter, Elliot Rodgers
As I was watching the alleged California shooter, Elliot Rodgers' youtube video, I couldn't help but make the comparison between his words, the words of Smaug from the Hobbit Series, and the Dragon from the Bible. It seemed as if they all were working or acting out patterns from the same template.
Their words and attitude brought to manifestation a belief that they had a higher than normal view of themselves, a since of entitlement, a need for admiration and adornment, and the belief that they have the right to bring to punishment those who do not recognize their superiority. These are patterns of those with narcissitic personality beavorial patterns.
A narcissist is 1. a person who is overly self involved, and often vain and selfish. 2. Psychoanalysis . a person who suffers from narcissism, deriving erotic gratification from admiration of his or her own physical or mental attributes. Dictionary.com
I find this interesting in that looking at social media, it seems as if there's a rise of narcissism, or at the least, an increase in the outlets in which narcissists can feed their insatiable egos.
It's my opinion that the behaviors and attitudes of western society is being molded, trained, and formed in the image of the Beast. The Beast system is a kingdom in which it's citizens are full of pride, self worship, and unrestrained fulfillment of every whim and desire that will bring retribution to those who don't recognize and participate in these pursuits.
As being part of the body of the "Called Out Ones," it's our duty to recognize and discern the spiritual atmosphere of pride being set, and not fall prey to the unsound, devilish, and hell-binding whims of the day. We should be mindful, aware, and remain sober so that we don't get caught up in the hipe while loving and nurturing our fellow man the way Christ did, and continues to do.
It's sad and tragic the way this young man chose to vent his pent up anger and fury, but I believe it serves as a warning to us in that we really have to be mindful of the seeds thats being planted in the hearts and minds of our youth and the generations to come.
May the grace of Jesus be with you always!
