"Getting in shape starts with eating and not with exercise!" Vinnie Tortorich
This is one of the myth busting statements that I recently heard while listening to Vinnie Tortorich on The Fat-burning Man podcast show with host Abel James. I've been listening to the The Fat-burning Man podcast for about a year now and have heard many professionals and researchers in the health, wellness, and fitness industry bring many myths and lies to light. Main stream media is often backwards, behind, and almost completely juxtaposed to truth. The love of money is the root of all evil, and there is no end to the line of individuals who will flat out lie to you to make a buck. It behooves us to get our physical, mental, and spiritual houses in order quickly given that our elected officials can't seem to get things together with regard to money, legislation, and Obamacare.
Vinnie Tortorich, who is a trainer to the stars in Hollywood, breaks down many of the myths that we hold to be true when it comes to fitness, nutrition, and losing weight fast. He sheds light to how simple, easy, and quickly one can get into shape with a few simple principles. It all starts with what you eat first, then exercise second. The paradigm we've been given is opposite of how we should eat as well as exercise, and I contend that it's by design. There's no money to be made when no one is sick, inflamed, or mentally crazy!
The short of it is to stop eating CRAP! And start eating real food! Then start resistance training (body weight exercises is a great place to start) using the Burst Method, which is training like a sprinter verses like a marathon runner. The training approach is to have short burst of high intensity movemets followed by short burst of low intensity and rest. Ditch the long steady marathon method of exercising and use that time somewhere else. Similarly, the same approach to cardio workouts is best when this method of High intensity followed by low intensity is adopted and implemented. Click here for a free 90 day workout program that follows and implements these principles. I used this as a template for a boot camp, and the results for many where phenomenal.
The key is to start somewhere. I know this is easier said then done, but it must become a priority in our lives.
