Come to me, all of you who are struggling and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
In living in a world where it seems as if there's so much turmoil and craziness abounding it can be hard at times to remain encouraged in God, keep a positive and hopeful outlook on life, and remain upbeat about things.
It's important that each and everyone of us learns the art, habit, or skill of staying upbeat and positive no matter what in order to live and enjoy a life that's worth living and enjoying. The secret, or not so secret way to remain encouraged about things I've found most effective is to keep in mind that The Creator Almighty is sovereign, always in control, only desires goodness for you while co-authoring your journey in life, and seeks to ensure that His love abounds in your life in every way, shape, and form possible.
It's our duty to seek His face constantly without waiver, allow our minds and hearts to be shaped and transformed by Him, to place our hope, cares and trust in Him, and to likewise be a source of hope and light to others.
It's pretty simple when you think about it. Place your attention on the life of Christ, spend time learning about him and how he lived, and seek to copy, or mimic what you can when you can. The benefit, or side effect of that is a Kingdom of Heaven Lifestyle here on Earth.
You are here with purpose, are precious, and have the capacity and availability to live a powerful, peaceful, and supernatural life when you're totally sold out to The Creator Almighty through his son Jesus Christ. Get back to bible basics and read the Word daily, pray regularly, fellowship with the body of the Called Out frequently, listen to inspiring and uplifting messages and music, smile, give and get hugs, and do whatever it takes to mitigate negativity in your life. Life is fleeting and it behooves you to squeeze as much goodness out it as you can!
May His face shine on you and give you peace in its full meaning! "Isaiah 26:3-4(KJV) Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength"

Ever since hitting my mid-thirties I've made it my priority to enjoy my life more. When I was younger I was so wrapped up in the ways, or mindset of our western culture to prioritize my life around the accumulation of things, the sacrifice of time, and the placement of important relationships by the wayside. But then I started begging the question of what it meant to be successful and joyful life bringing into clarity what's most important.
"What does a successful life look like? How am I supposed to live? How am I to arrange my time? What activities are most important and should occupy much of my schedule?! What should I be focused on" I asked myself
In asking myself these questions along with others, I made the choice to choose to design my own life of enjoyment, peace, and happiness regardless of culture dictates. This is how to free yourself for a more enjoyable life. Get in a place of quietness, ask questions, and allow yourself the freedom to pursue whatever speaks to your soul. Make the choice to choose, and not react. Decide to be proactive.
After much thought and deliberation while pursuing answers to those questions, I've come to realize and acknowledge that there are more things more important then money, status, and/or a "luxury lifestyle." Don't get me wrong. Having a good high paying career, lots of money, and lots of toys is fine, but they must be placed in their proper perspective if you're to maintain your peace, joy, and happiness.
Realize that you only get one life. You only get one shot on this beautiful planet, thus it's crucial that you learn the difference between those things that will give you pure soul satisfying happiness versus those things that will only satisfy you for a season. No one wants to be in their final moments of life only to realize that they really didn't enjoy their time here.
Take a few moments, sat down, and make the decision to design your own life of joy and happiness that hopefully will enable you to say, "Boy! Did I have a blast of a time on this beautiful planet! See y'all on the other side!"
Be encouraged, have fun, and design your own life!
I've had to make a few career adjustments recently that's caused me to really think about priorities, the pace of life, and what's worth pursing versus what can be placed on the "back burner" for later consideration.
In my view, it seems as though the speed of life is ever increasing at a Kentucky Derby like pace by the second. It could just be the fifth cup of Starbucks by 7a.m., the lack of sleep, or the CEO like schedule of my children that's got me all up in arms, but that's besides the point.
It's unfortunate, or maybe fortunate in some ways, that we only have so much time on this precious planet. Therefore, it's essential that we learn the lesson of prioritizing our time well in hopes of not letting one iota of a second go to waste. I know this is easier said then done, but it's a "must do" if you wanna make an impact before you leave this plane of existence, enjoy your time as allotted, and live with and in peace with yourself, God, and your neighbors.
We're living in a world that's racing toward a New Age of existence at the speed of light. In my view, I don't think we'll be happy, at peace with, or thrilled about the destination determined if ever reached. I've been keeping my eyes and ears close to the ground as to much of the goings-on, trends, and direction in which our general culture and society is going and it looks pretty rough to say the least. Anyway, I don't wanna go down that trail to much in this post as to just place a pebble in your shoe and say that a good way to a more peaceful life in a culture of sprinters is to intentionally take time to enjoy those small moments of pleasure. Savior your time as much as you can. Yes! Stop and smell the Roses, catch up with your family and friends, and talk with The Creator daily. Don't allow the pace of the culture to overtake, and take control of your heart, mind, or will. Be purposeful with your time, and cultivate the art of slowing down and meditating, or being mindful about how you expend your life-force.
In short, I just wanted to express the concern and importance of taking the reigns of the horse, pulling back, and slowing down in order to experience a more peaceful and less anxious existence. Be mindful about what's going on around you and take pleasure in the fact that when you have a peaceful heart and mind nothing can shake you, and life seems so much more peaceful and better.
