A couple of nights ago I fell a sleep watching the documentary, Invisible Empire, A New World Order Defined, by Jason Bermas. It's an informative, well put together, and all around interesting movie breaking down the various movements, agreements, and inner workings of various groups that are working in concert to bring about a world Utopia under the reign of a world dictator. I've seen this video numerous times, so, it wasn't a big deal for me to drift into dream land without worrying about missing any details or vital segments. Upon waking, the strangest thing happened. Scenes from the movie, Children of Men, a movie starring Clive Owen, started to run through my mind.
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Psalms2:1-4
As I got up to get ready for church, I placed the audio version of the book of Acts in my computer and began my weekly routine of getting ready for our early morning Bible study. As the audio version played, and the various bible characters said their verses flawlessly as they had many times before, I listened intensely as Paul gave the instructions to the sailors in Acts 27:31 to abide in the ship unless you want to perish. Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved Acts27:31 I felt as though a bolt of electricity had gone though my body. “That's it!” I said instantaneously. Duh! That's the answer! Except you abide in the ship, you can not be saved!
“Well, who or what is that ship? And How do I abide?” I asked.
My friends that ship is none other than Jesus Christ, the only unique son of the God of the Universe.
A ship is a vessel. Vessels are containers used to protect, secure, hold, or separate people or processions for various reasons or occasion. The Bible instructs the Called Out to abide in Him, for in Him we will find safety, security, prosperity, peace, joy, contentment, happiness, rest, and a whole host of other benefits in the midst of life troubles and storms. Christ is the ultimate Vessel in which we can poor every once and fiber of our being for safe keeping unto our ultimate and final unification with Him at His second coming. Christ is the Word of God, is God in the flesh, and has all power and authority in His hands! Thus, your life investment is secure!
How do I abide?! You ask.
Well, to abide means to tarry, stay in place, continue, dwell, endure, stand, or remain. In a nutshell, after you've set aside your ego and heeded to the Spirit of Christ to except Him into your life as Lord and Savior. After you've done a 180 degree turn from your former lifestyle of sinning and repented, and have been baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with His Holy Spirit, you continue your journey of developing a personal relationship with Him by doing the things that he commands us to do. By reading and practicing his Word, fellowship with other believers, praying and fasting, singing songs of worship and praising His Holy name, only then do we abide in Him. We were not meant to be paper weights in our local church, syngouge, or meeting place, but were meant for a life of action and display of power! While living a righteous life we're to feed the homeless, look after the widows and orphans, and visit the sick and those who are imprisoned. We're to make disciples of others baptizing in the name of Jesus! You are to stand, resist, and occupy until the groom returns. You're to spread the good news of the Gospel where ever your feet takes you and you learn to Love others as God Loves you! Thus, after the transformation from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light, you follow the commands of Christ that act as rails that keep you from falling over into the raging, chaotic, and destructive waters of the Beast System! Excepting Christ as your salvation places you in the ship of safety, and following His instructions are the rails that keep you from falling into the chaotic waters below!
In short, we live in a crazy and chaotic world in which some men have allowed themselves to be used as vessels of evil. Under the influence and authority of the god of this world, your destruction is agenda number one on their “bucket list! The way of escape is through the door of Jesus Christ into the ship of Salvation! Once there, stay their by following His commands, because His commands are for your salvation and not for your demise!
May the grace of our lord be with you always!
