To be prepared is half the victory. Miguel de Cervantes
"Oh Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!! I'm late!" I exclaimed as awakened frantically looking at my clock.
"How am I ever going to make it on time!" I thought
"I should've been more prepared!" I lamented
As I awaken this morning late and way behind the eight-ball with respect to getting started with my day in the right way the thought occurred to me that I really need to make sure that I make better use of my time and prepare for the next day in order to prevent crazy mornings from becoming habit.
I was admonished and greatly reminded to the importance and power of being prepared. In today's world with all the time restraints, tight schedules, and must meet "yesterday" deadlines, it's essential that we do our best to prepare today for our anticipated successes and goal acquisitions tomorrow.
The art and science of making proper, efficient, and good preparations for future tasks seems to be one that's quickly falling by the waste side in today's world, and the ill effects of a culture inundated with a "just get it done whenever and however you can" mentality is producing behaviors and results that are mediocre at best and tragic at worst.
If we want lives that have meaning, have purpose, are satiating to the soul, full of joy, peace, wealth, and happiness, plans of action must be well thought out, and preparation must take place in order to bring intentional desires to real world manifestation. We must live life with purpose, intent, and design. And this has to be coupled with a time of preparation in order to make room for the provision given in accordance with a particular vision, or goal. Without first considering a matter, making proper assessments, and proficient preparation a determined task is almost certainly doomed from the start. Friends, if we're not taking the time today to prepare for tomorrow's success then we're almost certainly by default setting ourselves up for failure.
This is a great book speaking to the importance of getting a great nights sleep in order to have good health, feel great, and wake up ready and prepared to take the day by the horns! Click on the pic and check it out!
Similarly, with resect to our relationship with Christ, we are called and admonished to make sure that we make preparation on a continual basis to take the time to consider His words and receive them into our hearts for lives that produce good fruits or actions that bring Glory to The Father.
We're urged and lead to prepare our hearts and minds to be like fertile ground that's been worked and tilled into the rich dark soil that's so prized by the farmer sowing good seed with anticipation of a good harvest.
Be reminded and encouraged to cultivate habits that help you stay ready to hear and do what the seed of the Word produces in your life so that you become the You that you were and are destined to be bringing glory to your Heavenly Father through His son Jesus! Likewise, make sure to prepare and pack your day with purpose, priority, and margin so that you have more days where you take the bull by the horns verses being behind the eight-ball.
May His face shine on You and give you peace!
