re·sil·ience noun \ri-ˈzil-yən(t)s\
In the past, when I would hear or use the word resilience, I often connected it to the physical body. I would picture myself going to the gym so that I could become "Mr. Resilient!" In grandiose like fashion, I would picture myself with huge pecs of iron, legs of tree trunk thickness and strength, and a neck like an Ox. I'd picture myself like one of those body builders on the cover of any latest muscle magazine thinking that that was what resilience was all about when in fact that's not the case at all. In order to be truly resilient, or bulletproof in life, you want to be strong in four key areas of your life.
Strong in Spirit!
The most important and top area you want to be strong in first is Spirit. You want to make sure that you have a connection with the Eternal Creator, I Am. For in Him you will find an infinite power supply that will empower and enable you to get through some of life's most horrid gauntlets, trials, and obstacles! Through this harmonic connection to the Throne of the Living Father through His only Unique Son Jesus, you will find a never ending power supply of Love that will motivate you to live a life of vitality, peace, joy, kindness, self-discipline, and resilience in the face of fear, anxiousness, and death!
Strong in Mind!
The next key area to think about when it comes to resilience is to have a strong mind. It's essential to have a strong mind in a world in which confusion, lies, and deception are the modus operandi of the day. We live in a world of information, and it's important that we've developed a sharp, quick, and logical mind capable of gathering knowledge and honing understanding so that wisdom can be distilled and applied with precision and accuracy!
Strong in Heart (Emotions)!
A strong heart is a must have for holistic resilience. We live in a world designed to keep your heart weak and fear-filled to the brim. In a state of fear, we're easy to manipulate and control, thus it behooves us to ensure that our hearts are strong so that we don't faint in times of trouble. Your heart must be stable, peaceful, and free of worry in order to be truly emotionally resilient!
Strong in Body!
Lastly, you have to build your body up so that it can withstand the various rumbles and tumbles that might come against you. Life can physically deal some hard blows, and we must do all that we can to ensure that we're physically in good shape to bounce back from some of the toughest blows life can throw at us. Cancer, diabetes, inflammation, ebola, and a slew of diseases and illnesses are waiting their turn to take their best shot at you, so you have to be ready!
In conclusion, it behooves us to be resilient in Spirit, mind, heart, and body in a world that has a buffet of trials, tests, and circumstances that will either take you out, or build you up! The Struggle is real! Be strong and become holistically resilient!
