In a recent stroll through the headlines one trend that I'm noticing is the level of craziness with respect to some of the atrocities being committed against our food supply. Our foods are becoming increasingly toxic wreaking havoc on our health. It's as if we're in a science fiction movie in which mad scientist are in competition with each other to see who can come up with the most insane concoction of Franken-foodery! Isn't it enough that by 2030 most Americans may be obese?! Or that Autism is exploding?! Or that all forms of cancers are increasing dramatically?! Or that the fluoride being added to our water supply and foods are decreasing the IQ's of Americans by an average of ten points according to a Harvard study?! Now I have to worry about my cabbage possibly stinging me like a scorpion, the dangers from the toxicity of my fast food, and the fact that 80% of what we eat are banned in other countries.
The medicine in our foods is being taken out and replaced with garbage. Hippocrates would be appalled at what we pass as food today. What we consume today would not be recognizable to our forefathers. Food no longer heals, but is being used as a weapon of mass destruction. We're eating lab designed foods that are sold to us as being the best thing since sliced bread. But it depends on how that slice of bread was manufactured and the ingredients that were used in the process. For instance, we may be consuming cabbage that has scorpion poison in it as a pesticide pretty soon. Yep, if you piss that cabbage off it may sting you! The engineered cabbage supposedly will use less pesticide and not harm humans, but haven't we already heard that lie, like, a million times already?! Similarly, 80% of what we eat today as part of the standard American diet is banned in other countries according to Mira and Jason Calton of the book, Rich Food, Poor Food. Most of the additives in the foods that we consume today are banned in other countries, but for some reason the FDA allows for us, the American population, to consume them. In addition, most of what call fast food isn't really food. It's come out in recent studies that most of the burgers sold today is not meat, but a type of pink slime. Most of what's sold as hamburger meat is actually, ammonia and water. Only a small percentage is actually muscle tissue. This is why it's best to source your foods at a local level and develop relationships with farmers, growers, and producers where you can actually see and research your food. Don't rely on a governmental bureaucracy to protect you, but go out and shop your own foods.
Thus, in looking at our food supply today it's getting crazier by the moment.
In conclusion, we must be vigilant as to what allow onto our plates and into our mouths. Not only is your health at risk, but the health of your family and loved ones. We must be vigilant as to the goings-on with respect to our food and what we eat. Good foods produced the way God intended leads to good health. Good health is real wealth! If you don't have good quality health, than life just ain't fun. Be vigilant and mindful because in my opinion it's not by accident that we find our foods to be in such poor condition. The enemy wants you fat, sick, and dumb for the slaughter. It's hard to stand strong with arthritis, cancer, fatigued, obese, inflamed, and out of shape! May the grace of our lord be with you!
