"What choo talkin bout man! Ain't no such thing as no devil!" Joe stated
"I'm in complete and total control of my destiny! Ain't nobody tryin to get me to do anything. I do the things I want to do because I want to do them!" he exclaimed.
"Matter of fact, I'm fittin to get up in these hunnies right here. I be right back aight!" he shouted as he slithered his way across the park with his pants sagging to the ground and brown stripped underwear showing, to holla at some barely dressed, thirsty lookin, females with the look of "please save me" on their faces.
It's been said that the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was leading man to believe that he doesn't exist. Through deception and playing on man's pride, the devil, the fallen cherubim, has caused man to believe that there is no proliferator of evil and that man is totally free of influence from any outside forces. Man is fully in control of his destiny and it is by his knowledge and wisdom that he will obtain perfection. Well, according to the Bible, this is not the case.
Man has been deceived by one of the best deceivers in existence. Satan, our enemy masqueraded as an angel of light in presenting himself to Eve causing her to doubt and transgress the words of God leading to the fall of man. Satan, the one who entices, allures, tempts, or markets evil as good, lured Eve into believing that she was missing out on something and that by following his instructions she would gain more knowledge that would be better than what her Father had given her. He played on her pride to seduce her into eating the forbidden fruit. Pride, the belief that I know better than God, is the primary weapon that Satan uses to lead man to his own destruction. Through books, myths, and stories like Prometheus, The Urantia Book, and Gnosticism, man is taught to believe that he is god, and that the way to godhood is through knowledge. We're lead to believe that we are evolving upwards instead of downwards. Thus, through pride, the belief that "I know better than God," caused man to break the commands of God, leading to the state of affairs we now find ourselves dealing with today.
Satan is the best marketer or salesman hands down. He presents evil as hip, trendy, freeing, fun, fashionable, and that if you aren't participating in it, you're missing out and ain't living. When in fact all it leads to is suffering, misery, pain, destruction, darkness, emptiness, ugliness, and death! Friends, the fruits of sin, rebellion against the words of The Father will lead to your eventual demise! Sin IS fun for a season, but after that you're left with a big pile of stinking poo! We as humans never learn and are forced to keep repeating the same cycles of misery and suffering until our soon coming King returns and completely rectifies our situation. Hold and hold out! Endure until the end! Hold up the standard! Do not give in! Flee from evil and call it out when it presents itself as good! Allow The Father to develop a spirit of utter contempt and disgust for the things of this world. Do not allow your self to become comfortable with sin because it won't be comfortable with you until you succumb to it and are held captive by it. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you! I pray that you find this message encouraging and edifying to your Spirit! Amen!
Gen 3:1-5 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Genesis 3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
