With all the craziness taking place today, it's easy to become fearful, filled with dread, and full of anxiety about the future. The economy is on edge facing steep decline. The atmosphere of fear is being propagated like it's going out of style. Western civilization is receding with respect to the rise of the East, and we're deteriorating under the weight of decadency, slothfulness, and plain'ol corruption. When good men stand down, evil men start walking around like Peacocks thinking they own the place. But this is what happens when we distance ourselves from the laws of God and replace them with the laws of men. Misery, suffering, and evil are a result of sin, which is to miss the mark of the law. When we rebel against God's ways and replace them with the ways of men, then we are provoking The God of Heaven to jealousy causing Him to remove His covering, and allow evil to mature to full fruition in our lives.
Evil operates with fear, and uses it as a means to control and stifle resistance. It's used to move the hearts and minds of men to worship as opposed to love. God operates out of love. Evil operates and motivates with force to induce fear. One way to stifle fear and remove it from your life is by worshiping the true God of the Hebrew Bible.
God loves you, adores you, and is jealous for His own. He loves blessing, giving grace, and showing mercy to His children. All that He ask is that you respond with worship. Worship is the act of prostrating oneself before God as an act of recognition to who and what God is in your life. It serves as a means of humbling oneself and presenting yourself as a servant. It's how you say thanks and show your gratitude. This is very freeing in that when you worship God, you're acknowledging that you don't have all the answers in life, but that there is one who does. When you worship God, you're letting go of pride and embracing the fact that you're a finite being who is fragile, weak, and in need of help. You didn't create yourself and don't have much power to keep yourself out of the grave either. So, it's in your best interest just to let go and let God!
God is The King of all Kings, and He expects to be treated as such. Give him what's due to Him, don't provoke Him to jealously by cheating on Him with other gods. Don't tempt Him because God is not like man and you will not be able to "get one" in over on Him. May the grace of Jesus Christ be with you always! Just let go and let God! Worship Him and leave your fears and anxiety with Him.
