My Take on 31 Questions…
I came across this article which is about 31 questions that you should ask yourself that could change your life.
READ ARTICLE HERE. So I thought why not, I wouldn't mind a change as long as it's for the better. As I was reading and answering I started thinking that some of them are pretty good questions that I do need to ask myself and so that's exactly what I did. What I decided to do is to take some of those answers and write them in several different blogs.
Therefore, here are two of the questions that I have chosen to write about today.
In this blog I have chosen to combine questions 1 & 2
Growing up most of the girls were planning their weddings and such, but I was just planning. I had it all together, I was going to have my own business, house, two or three vehicles, and be married - all by the time I was 30. (Clear's throat) yeah I told you I was just planning, lol. As I got older I never really gave this anymore thought ...until now. Now that I came across this article. After recalling all of my planning, I started to consider, "Hey I still have the desire to have my own business", but I didn't know what type. And there it was…my dream, My own business!
Little did I know that my dream was to have my own business but it was already in the process. See, I have been making jewelry and a few other things here and there and selling them on Facebook. I had some people asking if I had a website and/or a way for them to see what other things I have. That got me making more things and I started carrying them around with me. So when they asked I could easily say, "Why yes, here is my product." Then it became that I wanted to do more than jewelry and that's how, as they say, the ball got rolling. Now I have a name for my business, Final Form Studio, a website being developed and since it is all mine I can sell whatever my heart desires. So yes to question two, I do have a dream to follow and I am. Final Form Studio where everything sold here is made by hand, from jewelry, clothes, art work, furniture, and who knows the possibilities out there.
As for question one, that's hard to say because I do enjoy doing what I do now. Heck! I went to college for it. But is this really and truly what I want to do? I couldn't answer that question immediately and the more I thought about it, I decided to combine them. So I came up with a question of my own to ask myself "PhiLana, are you living your dream life?". For some reason that was easier to understand and answer. No I am not, my dream is to have my own business and be my own boss and such. Therefore; no I am not. I am not living my dream life.
Wow that brought so much clarity into my head, I know what I need to do, I know what my focus is, and that is just the way I'm going to live my life. I want to be able to say yes. Yes to all of these questions in the future and I want to be able to write about how I used to want to do this and how I used to want to have that but then it all came together.
By asking myself just a few questions I learned so much about my life and I suspect that you will also. Sit down and ask yourself just a few of these questions and then ask yourself what are you willing to do about it. Let's make our own dreams come true and live our dream lives!
After all I hear that dreams do come true :-)
